a cowboy's legacy

I am generally drawn towards the aesthetic of broken down structures and overgrown vegetation in my art. In a way, I suppose it speaks to my yearning for humans and nature to merge together, rather than exist as two separate forces. I just think the idea is quite beautiful anyway.

In this piece, there is a slight air of sorrow, and yet it is at the same time very innocent and hopeful in color language and composition. I really enjoyed exploring that particular expression.

This piece is also my homage to the show Cowboy Bebop. I've always liked Spike's and his spaceship's designs and thought about recreating them in my own illustrations.
