Call me a romantic, but as a loyal observer of humanity, I think that art expression is, point-blank, our most meaningful behavior. At least, through art is how I continue to find my love for humans.
 
Growing up, my life often felt like a chase for material wealth and numerical achievements, hauled along by society’s ideas of success. At times, I found myself yearning for a simpler existence—perhaps on a farm surrounded by animals. 

Through art, I tell myself that it's okay to just be.

My works try to paint the simple beauty of nature and animals. They embody my idealization for a world that is inherently gentle and innocent. In my imagined world, I cannot exist, so I created a character to represent myself. I find that drawing and watching her enjoy life reminds me of my own meaning of joy.

Art is so powerful because it inspires in both viewer and painter completely new ideas and emotions. I like to think it's not just my viewer who is here to see an artpiece that I create, but that we are both there to listen to what the piece is speaking about itself. One of my favorite parts about art making is knowing that others, too, can find their own experiences in what I create. It is why I share my art.
